Melissa is an enthusiastic education specialist passionate about supporting others improve their livelihoods in new and better ways. She combines academic research with practical experience to champion young people, in and out of the classroom, and looks to grow these strategies to scale.
She has a Masters from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in International Education Policy and numerous years working on teacher capacity and development in South America. Currently, she is with Mozilla promoting digital making — both web-based and physical — for young people and educators alike. Her research interests include teacher capacity and development in under-resourced environments, technology in education, and student achievement.
